Central coal boss reviews Ranchi’s CCL, CMPDI

Union coal secretary Inderjit Singh reviewed two Ranchi subsidiaries of Coal India, Central Coalfields (CCL) and Central Mines Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), on July 23. At CCL, he emphasised on meeting production targets daily, liquidating existing stock and instantly supplying coal to thermal power stations. At CMPDI, Singh advised optimal utilisation of resources and cost effective mechanisms. Singh also visited Jeevandhara coal block under CCL command area

Telecom-TV pact

BSNL, Ranchi circle, signed a first-of-its-kind pact on July 27 with local cable TV operator City Live & Technical Pvt. Ltd to give optical fibre-based broadband service, FTTH, to customers. Under it, BSNL and the cable operator will share revenue on 60:40 basis. While the operator will take the cost of the chip from customers, BSNL will do the billing

Strategic alliance 

CMPDI and Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation signed an MoU for a strategic alliance on mutual commercial interests. Signed by Shashi Kant, CMPDI general manager (business development) and Shankar Sinha, mineral corporation general manager, in the presence of mines and geology secretary A. Siddique and CMPDI CMD Shekhar Saran, the pact will help explore opportunities to develop and manage greenfield/ brownfield projects
