Actress Kelly Preston is getting ready to launch her own organic beauty brand.
Breathe, a direct-to-consumer line, will consist of four antiaging products – a day serum, $137; day crème, $121; night serum, $149; and night crème, $133, according to a story in WWD. Her goal is to have a complete lifestyle brand with makeup, hair care and products for men, babies and home.
Preston is all about organic – food as well as products – and she’s eager to share her skin care regime.
“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I eat 70 percent organic and I [use organic products] — it’s clean living,” Preston said of her skin in an interview with WWD. “I’ll be 56 in October and people have asked me for years what I do to my skin.”
The actress and wife of John Travolta said the collection has been a decade in making. She’s selective about ingredients and sourcing.
“I wanted products that worked as well, if not better, than conventional products that might contain chemicals or fillers and synthetic ingredients,” Preston said. “I’ve never found anything on the market that worked as well as the luxury brands that was organic.”
When brand awareness grows, she hopes to expand to retail. At launch, it will be sold on the Breathe website.
